Krisztina Szabo

Krisztina SZABO is an assistant lecturer at the Corvinus University of Budapest within the Institute of World Economy, whilst she is doing her PhD in the field of development economics at the International Relations Multidisciplinary Doctoral School. Her main research field and interest is the political economy of foreign aid, with a particular focus on mechanisms linking together the security understanding with development concerns and on how foreign aid decisions are made.

In 2013, she graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MSc in International Relations with ‘MERIT’ award. Also in 2013 she finished her BSc degree in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Debrecen receiving the classification of ‘Excellent’. In 2012 she obtained another BSc degree with the title of European Engineering Business Management, receiving the award of ‘First Class’, from Coventry University.

Krisztina works together with the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade as an external researcher.

She teaches postgraduate models in the International Economy and Business Master programme within the Institute of World Economy, such as Development Economics and International Organisations.
