The Thesis Work should be original work by the student and should meet scientific standards of citation and documentation (see Guidance to Preparing Thesis Work and Study and Exam Regulation). Information provided by outside contacts – if necessary – should be handled on a confidential basis.
The deadline of thesis submission is the 2nd May 2018, Wednesday, 4 PM
Your thesis should be handed in at the secretariat of the Institute of World Economy (new building, C.007, ground floor).
Please, hand in:
a) two printed copy of your paper, out of one should be in a black hardbound format.
b) an electronic version (pdf or doc(x) format) on a CD or USB stick.
Additional materials to be handed in together with your thesis (please, do NOT bind these into your thesis!):
c) Two copies of a 2-page “executive” summary of the Thesis Work
d) A filled out and signed ‘Thesis Submission Form’. Without this paper and the Supervisor’s signature, the Thesis Work won’t be accepted at the Secretariat.
e) A filled out and signed ‘Declaration of Own Work’
f) A filled out and signed ‘Declaration of Publicity (Library)’. Please, note, that choosing “no publicity” option must be justified, and will be accepted only, if the thesis contains confidential information!
The submission deadline can be exceeded (from 2nd May to maximum 7th May 2018), the fee is 5100HUF/day) with the written permission of the programme manager. For this, there is a form, which can be downloaded from the website of the Faculty/University (Késedelmes szakdolgozat leadás engedélyének formanyomtatványa – ask your Advisor to help with filling in the form). Only this completed form can be accepted for this purpose. This form has to be handed in at the Secretariat of Institute of World Economy until 27th November 2017 4 PM. Without the signature of program manager, the permission is not valid, cannot be accepted. A copy of the permission will be sent to the Dean’s Office. To exceed the official deadline (2nd November 2018), the payment of a special processing fee is obligatory (5100 HUF/day). During the extended deadline, the Thesis Work can be accepted only if this fee was paid, and this is confirmed by the Student Office at the time of thesis submission (so, the money should be transferred to the Neptun account in time.)
The student, who do not submit her/his Thesis Work or deadline extension permission until 7th May 2018, cannot defend her/his Thesis Work in the Summer 2018 final examination period.
